After my initial assessment with you in February 2012, and following your advice on the approach we needed to take in order to reach my body transformation goals, I also visited a dietician. I was a whopping 70.6 kg and 42% body fat. This was the heaviest I had been for years! Although the first few months realized slow progress in my body composition changes… “drum roll” – I am now 64.3kg and 35.6% fat!
I now realize and understand that in the initial stages there were quite a few old patterns and habits that my body had to fight, hence the slow improvement in the first couple of months. Boy was it worth sticking to though! - I’ve reduced a dress size already and clothes are loose again.
I also remember struggling with some basic functional movements and I couldn’t even do the “open books” exercise in the beginning. I want to thank you so much for your help in my progress and for working so very hard with me in my supervised training and in my eating habits, by far the best combination for success. I can’t wait to get below the big 60kg soon!”

Juliana has certainly showed what is possible with the necessary dedication! She has balanced the simple equation of “energy intake vs energy expenditure” by increasing her general activity and paying special attention to her nutrition. Many people think that poor eating habits can be off-set by physical training, but I have seen time and again that exercise prescription is only helpful when combined with good nutrition.
Juliana’s fitness program was specifically designed to increase muscle tone in order to increase her resting metabolism. This means her body is burning more fat even when she is not physically active!! By seeing her on a weekly basis it was also possible to keep track of developments and control the process scientifically.
Her efforts (as a middle aged women, I might add) are commendable and serves as an example of what is within most people’s reach.
