Here’s a thought for all you well-meaning members who are trying to condition your bodies:
- You don’t get results from training sessions!
I know this makes you think “this guy’s a nutter”, right? “How can this dude be our conditioning specialist at the Golf Fitness Centre?”…
Well, let me back my statement up with a simple truth:
You get results from RECOVERY from training sessions!!!
Adaptation to a training stimulus is the process during which our bodies undergo change, which should be the goal of every training protocol. Whether this change is muscle growth, fat loss, strength, functional movement, or any conditioning benefit for that matter, the physiological changes in the body will most often occur after your training session.
The moral of the message? - Be sure that your training is producing AFTERBURN so that your sessions in the Fitness Centre produce the desired result as a consequence!
